Collection: Ricola Candy
For a while Ricola ran a line of memorable commercials, with a man blowing a horn and a chant of the company name. Yet the Ricola line of herbal candies, later labeled cough and throat drops, since the 1940s. They made their way to the US in the 70s and have remained popular ever since. Although Ricola boasts a blend of 13 herbs in its drops, the active ingredient in them is the same as many other cough and throat drops: menthol. They now come in seven primary flaors. In the 70s Ricola also helped pioneer the rise of sugar-free candy, starting with chewables and eventually using the sugar-free technology in their signature cough drops. While the cough drops is the only Ricola product available in America, in native Switzerland they have a number of other produc tlines, including chewing gum and teas.
